Went on the annual Deer Hunt in W. Va. It was one of the worst years in quite awhile. Monday I waited all day just to see a spike at 4:30p.m. He hung around for about 20 minutes and that was it!
Tuesday looked to be a more promising day, when at 7a.m. I spotted two does running down the ridge. Little did I know that was going to be it for the rest of the day! I don't know with all the construction going on whether this played a factor in the deer hunting in my location. Others seem to have seen more deer than Billy and I, but still not as many as in past years.
For those of you who don't know, a new highway was put in and property is being chopped up into lots for summer cottages and such. Our long time, remote hunting area is now turning into the Poconos of W. Va.
We still made the best of it and had a great time!
I'll post more pics when Anthony sends them to me from his camera.
